Comprehensive coil solutions - confidence inspiring quality
Ortofon has extensive experience in the manufacture of coils wound from very fine wire.This comes from our track record in manufacturing cartridges and working as a sub-supplier and co-producer.
Another spin-off from the cartridge production is the production of high quality custom specified coils in a variety of shapes and sizes, including conventional coils wind, with core- or coil former and self bonding, aircore coils.
The coils are produced from silver, copper and litze wire with a wire thickness of between 15 µm and 250 µm.
We carry out both electrical and mechanical controls according to our customer specifications. Based on our competencies in micro assembly we are able in many cases to offer the subsequent coil assembly.
Thanks to our experience in the technologies behind the manufacture of coils, we construct our own coil winding machinery for prototype and mass production.
